Then why not access all of this and more with IVF Coaching? During both of my treatments I felt that I would have benefited from someone to talk to, someone who was not involved directly, but, understood the hormones and changes going on in my body. I had lots of questions, should I feel like this? why am I biting people heads off? And the main question, Do I really want children? It sounds funny because you’ve spent the last few years purely concentrating on getting pregnant, but, when it really comes down to it and its not just a case of waking up pregnant one day and you are actually medically making things happen then that can be really scary. That was when I came up with the idea of IVF Coaching. After spending many years as a teacher and mentor and then helping my husband gain his qualifications as a Hypnotherapist and Life Coach I found that mentoring and life coaching is an excellent way of improving and understanding what is going on in your day to day life and how that past can effect this. It was also very similar to the counselling courses that I had taught on where people had learnt to question others in a manner that envoked change and understanding. With this in mind I decided that I would like to bring my own design of life coaching to the world of fertility treatments and offer IVF Coaching. Somewhere these practices could be put in place to improve your experience of treatment and your feelings towards yourself and those around you, leaving you positive and happy that you have done all you can. It may be that you just need someone to off load your thoughts on to, or have someone who can offer you an insight into why you feel that way you do (sometimes somebody outside of the immediate situation can see what you may not). Or someone to ask what you think are silly questions, but, are instead questions that everybody who has experienced fertility treatments has asked themselves before. You may feel that you would like the support of another woman who has experienced what you yourself are going through, or indeed just have someone at the end of the phone if you need them. I will also be able to research the side effects of your particular drugs and offer coping mechanisms if you require. Each 1hour session will cost £18, this will include the cost of the phone call, the necessary paperwork, postage and other costs involved. You will need to pay for each session in advance and this fee will be non-refundable (except in extreme circumstances or if the session is cancelled by IVFSS). You may wish to carry out weekly sessions for the duration of your treatment or just when you initially start, either way your requirements will be discussed at the initial planning session. You will however be required to participate in a minimum of three sessions and this will be payable in advance of the first planning session. The IVF/Fertility Coaching will run as follows: Initial Planning Session - As you may not be using IVFSS for their other services the first hour will be used to create a personal profile for you. This will include your personal details, treatment and drug regime, clinic details, family contact details and your requirements of the service. If however you are using the IVF PA service or Sweden Programme you will not need to have this first session. After this initial session you will sent a copy of your file and an agreement that you must read and sign before any further sessions can be undertaken.Once this information has been received back you will be contacted to discuss your future booking requirements.Sessions will continue for your required amount of time - you may wish to book each future session at the end of the last or pre-book numerous weeks in advance. Whichever you decide when you come to the end your sessions with IVFSS we will ensure that you are not left on your own and are given appropriate details of other organisations that you may wish to contact for future assistance and support if needed. |
